Telemedicine Assessment

Introduction:

This guide outlines the process for completing a Telemedicine assessment form within the OPERA system. It covers patient data entry, symptom assessment, and appointment categorization to ensure appropriate care and referrals.

Summary:

  1. Adding the Patient: Use the quick patient add feature to import the patient.
  2. Service Icon & Initial Details: The system prepopulates patient details, but users must enter the preferred phone number, ethnicity, and relevant patient factors.
  3. Referral Source & Consent: Select the patient's referral source and obtain consent for screening questions.
  4. Symptom Assessment: Ask the patient each question, input their responses, and note that the complexity score will adjust based on answers.
  5. Appointment & Outcome: The system auto-assigns an appointment type, but users can modify it. Select the appropriate outcome, document key details (affected eye, symptom severity, and description), and follow internal processes for further action.

This system provides structured guidance for patient triage, but users should adhere to internal protocols for managing outcomes.
