Using an Authentication App with OPERA

In addition to SMS, email and voice calls, we now support the use of device based mobile authentication applications to provide the OTP (on time pin).

Here is a list of supported applications, one of which must be installed on your device first - if you don't already have one installed on your mobile device. We recommend Google Authenticator.

Authy, Duo Mobile, LastPass Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator

Benefits of Application Based Authentication

Auth applications do not require a mobile phone signal or an internet signal and hence is suitable if you cannot access SMS tokens.  It also helps where email services are slow to receive the OTP sent.

We highly recommend the use of Auth applications as the default OTP service for your login,
